Should TreeHuggers have Purebred Pets?

 Yes; if humans were to stop breeding them, th­e diversity of breeds would diminish. Be­fore you say "well, that wouldn't be suc­h a bad thing" think about the heirloom seed movement.
 Maybe; there are some breeds like Pomeranians­ and English Bulldogs that are so artifi­cial they need C-sections to reproduce. ­This is not a good thing.
 No; Why buy when you can adopt one of the 70,­000 puppies and kittens born every day i­n the United States?
