I experience the following situation:
1) I have a Apple stock HDD and experience the issue with EFI 1.7 applied
2) I have a non-Apple HDD/SDD and experience the issue with EFI 1.7 applied
3) I have EFI 1.7 applied and do _not_ experience this issue at all
4) I experienced the issue and Apple has fixed my issue - EFI 1.7 installed
5) I experienced the issue and Apple has fixed my issue - I did not reinstall EFI 1.7 and run the old EFI
